Why I don't want Borders to close...
Here's my latest post at Beyond the Trestle. It's a couple days late so sort of a rush-write, but I trust it will make sense.
Borders closing is probably unavoidable at this point but that may be just me being a pessimist about the whole economy sucking canal water. If one takes the time and surfs the web to look at agent/publishing blogs you find them all lamenting about the ebook and how it is primarily responsible for the decline of sales in brick and mortar establishments. Now...I love a good ebook but the printed book also has its merits. And the publishers of ebooks are getting ready to punish us all by placing advertisements in the books (yup...imagine...advertising in something you buy). It makes me frickin sick.
